Damage to Orchid

Between 3.30pm on 6/10/21-08.00am on 7/10/21 approximately 20 newly planted orchid trees have been damaged in the Horndale Park area, Tindale Green, Newton Aycliffe.  Tree stems/root balls have been pulled apart.  The damage to the trees are valued at approximately £3000.

The planting of the trees were part of a wider project from Great Aycliffe Town Council where upon there was funding for £10 000 trees to be planted in the area.  Due to the damage planting has stopped.
