Newton Aycliffe Police weekly review

The Response, CID and Neighbourhood (NPT) teams have been dealing with a variety of issues over the last week, here is a very small snapshot of what we have been up to:
Monday – Male was arrested for assault and breach of Criminal Behaviour Order after stones were thrown at a car in Silverdale Place, Newton Aycliffe.
NPT had their monthly meet with the Newton Aycliffe County Councillors to discuss local community issues.
Tuesday – A 10-year-old was reported missing and after an extensive search located safely and returned home.
Wednesday – A male was arrested in relation to recent car crime (a one-night spree) centred around the Bluebell Estate.  This was after extensive enquiries were made with CCTV and the suspect identified.
A Traffic 183 (Warning notice) was issues to a male in the Neville Parade area after driving his motor vehicle ant-socially.  If he does it again, he gets his vehicle seized
Thursday – 3 youths were arrested on a train between Newton Aycliffe station and Heighington level crossing after causing a disturbance.
Friday – NPT officer attended a local Care Home to collate details for the Herbert Protocol Scheme (this assists police in finding vulnerable people if they are reported missing).
Officers were also out on foot and Ebikes targeting The Western Area, Neville Parade and Town Centre for Anti-Social Behaviour.
Saturday – NPT were out on foot and on Ebikes across Newton Aycliffe targeting the use of Off-Road Bikes and other Anti-Social Behaviour.  A bike was seized causing ASB in the Western Area..
Sunday – Female arrested after producing a positive Roadside Breath Test after a RTC (Road Traffic Collision).  Speedwatch carried out on Central Avenue, Newton Aycliffe (20 vehicles out of 156 vehicles was over the speed limit.
